Frequently Asked Questions
Do you deliver?
Yes I do. Delivery to a venue within 10 miles of Columbus, OH will be $20. Delivery anywhere outside will be dependant on how far your venue location is.
How quickly do I need to get in contact with you to make you're available?
I want a fondant cake. Can you help me out?
Do you offer custom tastings?
Not currently. You may have heard that I offered custom tastings and I did. However, being a home baker, it is easy to be taken advantage of and its especially time consuming making 4 different flavors of a slice of cake. I will continue to offer tasting boxes every 6-8 weeks that'll be a showcase of my most popular flavor combinations.
I am currently not accepting any orders for 2021. October and May are the most popular wedding months for me. If you're getting married in any of these months, I recommend reaching out as soon as you can. I am typically booked for October weddings by March. It's best to get in touch with me at least 6-8 weeks in advance.
I want a chocolate cake but white frosting frosting on the outside? Is that possible or do I have to pick another flavor?
Whats the order process like? Can I call you to place an order?
I personally like to have everything done via email. This is because I will have everything you are looking to have done written down and there's no way anything can get confused or lost in translation. I also like it because pricing and all that info is typed out and you can reference back to if it you need it. I don't take a lot of phone orders because while I am a small business owner, I am also a mom during the day and my kids come first.
You're not available for the date I need. Do you have any recommendations?
I sure do! Just shoot me an email with what you're looking to have made & I'll send you a list of amazing bakers who should be able to help!
Great news! You can have absolutely any flavor your heart desires on the inside and still have your classic white on the outside. Who says wedding cakes have to be boring?! Not me!
I'm getting married next month, can you get me in?
Maybe! Just shoot me an email or an order request and I'll see what I can do. But please don't be sad if I can't. I try my best to accommodate last minute orders but with me being a one woman show, there is only so much I can do.
Do you do vegan/gluten free/sugar free/peanut free/soy free cakes?!
For the time being, I do not. Why? I am a bakery that uses dairy, gluten and other products of the like all the time. I cannot say with 100% certainty that there will not be some sort of gluten contamination. If you have an allergy, please let me know and I'll see what I can do. And in all serious, I am not confident on making these types of cakes taste good. LOL
I personally don't work with fondant but I can send
you a list of amazing ladies who do
work with fondant!
Why are your cakes so expensive?
Custom cakes are definitely a lot more pricier than the cakes you are going to find at the grocery store. Heck, you can even purchase tiered wedding cakes from Sam's Club. If my cakes are not in your budget, girl, I have been there and there is absolutely ZERO judgement from me. However, I work with high quality ingredients and it's something I am very serious about. I will never substitute quality for cost. I'm here to make you the best that I can make. Also, if you did order from Sam's/Grocery store, you're likely picking a style out of a book that's already been done. I'm either working with you to create something that hasn't been done before or that is exactly what you're wanting to have for your special day. This, on top of many other factors, including paying myself, are why custom cakes are more expensive.
I want to do a dessert bar, but don't know how much to order.
Sure! So I recommend serving 2-3 mini desserts per person. I have personally seen people stack 4-6 desserts on a plate and not bat an eye and then you have people who don't have dessert at all. It really depends but 2-3 per person typically works out perfectly. I also recommend keeping flavor options for each dessert around 2-3 because the more flavors, the more people will want to cram onto their plate LOL
